Teletech

The Regional Economic Development Partnership is a project-oriented organization and its past work with TeleTech again demonstrates how a cooperative effort by a number of public and private entities can produce an impressive project. RED developed and owns the 58,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art customer service center, which now provides 500 jobs for the local area.

RED coordinated the financing/incentive package for the $13 million project with the West Virginia Development Office, the West Virginia Economic Development Authority, the Marshall County Commission, the City of Moundsville and a consortium of local banks.

The West Virginia Development Office, through the Governor’s Guaranteed Work Force Program, and West Virginia Northern Community College, in conjunction with TeleTech’s training coordinators, developed a six-week pre-hire training program known as LINKS. Further workforce training was also implemented for the teleservicing firm’s employees.
